Branding: MAP Mindfulness stands for Meditation, Awareness, and Presence. The dual meaning of MAP Mindfulness includes the idea that we will be able to assist them as they navigate through the trendy world of modern mindfulness and also how mindfulness tools can help them navigate through the different stages of their lives.

Marketing: My initial thoughts on marketing this site is to reach out to the Lesley community in the program and have them offer their input / collaboration. They can share it with their networks. We will also have a newsletter that readers can sign up for alerting them to new content including new program offerings, journal entries, and podcasts. I will also rely on connecting with many in the field via social media.

Social Media: During this independent study we will establish a Facebook landing page for MAPMindfulness as well as Instagram and Twitter. These outlets will all connect to ongoing and fresh content on the site.

 

Content: The website will have four main content areas to begin:

Programs: We will provide information regarding the programs that we have prepared to roll-out (both in person and online options) and also introduce programs that will be available in the future.

Journal: We are hoping that the journal area will be a place for readers to go and get updates on latest research in the field of mindfulness as well as the sharing of different mindfulness implementations that are inspiring. We hope to collaborate with our peers at Lesley University as often as possible.

About: This area will be dedicated to introducing our readers to our mission, backgrounds, and aspirations.

Podcasts: This will hopefully be an engaging and informative pillar to the entire site. Users can listen to us have conversations with those in the field who are working with either kids of adults with mindfulness practices in different arenas. The goal is for this to be a bi-weekly offering by the end of the year.
